Galway Community Circus

Since 2008 Fidget Feet have conducted an annual programme of performance workshops that culminate in a series of shows for the Galway Community Circus in the city’s Black Box Theatre.  Taking place between January to March every year, this is one of the tent-pole events of Fidget Feet’s collaborative programme. The Galway Community Circus is a charitable organisation built on fun, innovation and a commitment to inspiring and empowering people through circus arts. They use circus arts as an educational tool for personal, social and community development. They offer a comprehensive range of regular training, specialised workshops and outreach programmes. www.galwaycommunitycircus.com

Clifden Arts Festival

Another of our tent-pole collaboration projects, we have been visiting the Clifden Arts Festival annually since 2006. We spend two weeks in the lead-up to the festival conducting dance and circus workshops with primary and secondary school students in various locations around the Clifden/Connemara area. This culminates in a parade performance in collaboration with Luxe and an aerial crane performance from Fidget Feet to close the festival. The longest running community arts festival in Ireland, Clifden Community Arts Festival, nhas been running for over 37 years and takes places ever September. www.clifdenartsweek.ie

Bestival

Every year we pack our bags and travel to the UK to rock the Port Stage with our aerial antics at the fantabulous Bestival music festival. Bestival is an award winning 4-day boutique music festival set at Robin Hill – a beautiful leafy country park (a veritable Garden of Eden!) near Downend and Newport in the heart of the Isle of Wight. The wonderful world of Bestival was born out of ten fun years of pioneering music events and record releases from Rob da Bank’s Sunday Best empire. The renowned music specialist had a dream to one day create his vision of how the modern day festival should be. www.bestival.net
